Welcome
I would like to personally welcome you to your math class at BHS. I hope you enjoy your experience along the way and that you learn some new things about the fascinating world of mathematics. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask in class, otherwise send me an email, or catch me during SRB. I look forward to working with you in your educational experience, and strive to help you reach all of your goals!
About Me
I grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa and attended a small rural school very similar to Baltic. I graduated from Terril High School (now Graettinger-Terril-Ruthven-Ayshire) with 18 students in 2000. After graduating high school I decided to attend the University of Sioux Falls and major in Mathematics, with a concentration in Secondary Education. While at USF I played basketball for two seasons, as well as attending classes. I graduated in 2004, and decided that I wanted to stay in the Sioux Falls area. I accepted a job offer from Baltic and started in August of 2004. I went on to get my Master's degree in Education from South Dakota State University in 2007. I am currently studying to receive my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Dordt University as well.
About My Family
In 2012 I married my wife Becky. We currently reside in Baltic. Becky has been practicing Chiropractic for the last ten years in Sioux Falls. In 2014, we welcomed our first child Brynn. She was born in May of 2014 and will be starting Kindergarten in Baltic this fall. In November of 2016 our son Max was born. In our free time we like to travel to see both sides of our family, as well as enjoying the outdoors with hikes, going fishing, and doing a little camping as well.
